Rehearse, Record, Collaborate

Sonic Shed is a comfortable music rehearsal space located in Davis.  The room is 20’x12’ with 10’ ceilings.  It is sound conditioned, air conditioned and equipped with a drum kit and a PA system.  Load-in of your remaining gear is very easy.

Your band can book for a single session or secure your same day each week (which can be changed if available).

Our monthly option includes special perks (see below).

Single session: $60

Monthly rate (one day per week): $200

How to book a session at Sonic-Shed?

Sonic-Shed is a community of bands that share the studio, so we like to know about your band before booking your first session. 

When you send your inquiry to thesonicshed@gmail.com, please tell us how you heard about Sonic-Shed and tell us a little bit about your band. If possible, please include your links to your music, website, YouTube, social media, etc.

Monthly renters enjoy special benefits:

• Secure storage closet.
• Band link on Sonic Shed's website.
• Band photo in Sonic Shed's photo gallery.
• Show promotion with links to event and ticket info.
• Gig Prep: One free extra session per month, when available, to prepare for your upcoming show.

• Where are you located?  Sonic Shed is in Davis near Sudwerk.
• Can we have loud late-night sessions?  Yes!  Sonic Shed has no neighbors. 
• Do you have a recording engineer?  In the past, a mobile engineer has been available for recording sessions.
• Is the location safe?  Sonic Shed is not accessible to the public.  It is behind a security gate that requires a code and there are also several security cameras.
